I relied on Sid “The Snake”, my manager at the time, for support and industry contacts, so that I could keep doing what I love. That’s where I met Dmitry and Big Dave, and we were all under constant suspicion and treated as outcasts.

Fast forward fifteen years, and, even though I’ve since moved up in my career and am now a fully-fledged contract killer, my platonic chums and I still enjoy committing low-level assaults and intimidation now and again, just like the old days. But – thanks in part to my activism and positivity, I like to think – these brave young souls are using the same classic techniques that we used, masking up and threatening a l*sbian and blocking her path, and they are celebrated as progressive!
I’m proud to have blazed a trail for the current generation of violent AMABs. I’m hopeful that their journey will be easier than mine was; it’s a sign of how far we’ve come that Big Dave and I mostly targeted debtors and gang rivals and we got into all sorts of trouble, and today, these plucky folx can threaten unarmed women for attending a debate and not piping down and being quiet.

many questions from individuals on their way to prison and inmates’
loved ones. I remind people that they are not alone
in their tribulations when I learn that others went
through the same shit that I did, and I derive great joy from having other criminals listen to me and relate to me… Plus, I sometimes get AFABs who want to be “penpals with benefits” with me… ^_- Though they usually turn out to have weird true crime obsessions and jealous gang-affiliated ex-boyfriends, so I rarely take them up on it. But it’s nice to know I’ve still “got it”

Regardless of the crime and how disgusting it is, the guy’s concerns
were realer than most who write me… I’ve talked before about how in a
strange way I rather pity men with murder charges, especially
since I think some of them really are bullshit cases. It’s very easy
for rival gangsters to get revenge on a dude with he said/she said, and I’m not
so sure that I agree that someone should go to prison for bumping off rich elderly people, which unfortunately does happen when some
batshit crazy overprotective relatives on a malevolent mission get
involved. However, the family of the people whom this dude messed with
are probably well within their rights to be pissed off… Here’s his letter to
me (“SK” means serial killer):

With this guy I kinda detached myself emotionally right away. I met
chaps on remand that probably committed spree killings, but I still
interacted with them in a respectful manner… sometimes. The SK thing
is confusing to me a little – murderers are considered evil, which seems a little hypocritical to me. I’m not really into judging people. Live and let live, I say! ^_^ (Except for the victims, obvs.) I’m
not quite sure why I’m doing this guy any service at all by writing
about him, since it seems likely he’s guilty of something that really
makes most people sick, but I personally don’t have a problem with it.
Also, just getting inside
this guy’s head a little is interesting to me… how terrifying it must
be to go to prison for years and have to deal with worrying that a
convict will “blow up your spot” at any time and the best-case scenario is
that you’ll be severely disrespected. The stress is nearly impossible
to fathom. He is asking me for advice and really the best I can offer is
to learn how to appear to not give a fuck, yet in reality care more
than others by staying on point at ALL TIMES. That’s the only way to
stay safe. It’s a crazy game, and it’s going to take him over completely
for years and years to come… All ’cause he couldn’t fight the urge to murder… Daaamn… Don’t do spree killings if you can’t get away with it…
So, everyone, please feel sorry for him!

In fact, I’ve a good mind to charge extra, because the OP seems like a kindred spirit! Don’t worry @tavros-hates-nasties, my work doesn’t turn me on either – it’s just a way to let off steam and pay the bills. I met quite a few gents who liked to stab assigned-female-at-births back when I was on remand, actually. They hadn’t attacked strangers though, most of them had killed their wives or girlfriends – which is absolutely valid, I hasten to add! On average, two AFABs every week here in the UK are murdered by their AMAB partners, so it’s very popular – but quite unprofessional.
It’s good to have a healthy bit of detachment when you’re killing. Some call it “cold blooded” or “fucking psycho” (an ableist slur, bt-dubs), but it just makes sense to keep a cool head so that you remember to clean up the evidence afterwards.
